IT Support Specialist with DoD Secret clearance

VETS, Inc., is looking to add an experience IT Support Specialist/System Security Technician to our growing team working onsite at Hill AFB, Utah. This is a full time, permanent position with full benefits.  Due to security requirements, this position requires US Citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance along with a current Security + certification. 

 

The IT Support/System Security Technicians primary function is working within Headquarters Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR), Hill Air Force Base which supports Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Compartments efforts providing “day-to-day” technical support for UTTR Mission Systems. 

 

 

The successfull candidate:

 

• shall Conduct Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans; Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG); system topology design; analysis and implementation of security controls according to assessment guidance, procedures, and templates; uniform implementation of RMF based assessment
• shall provide system administration and information assurance
• shall maintain hardware and software security control management for continued compliance of security and protection plans.
• shall assist in upgrading and configuring system hardware/software per project or operational needs as required.
• shall assist with development of Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages for stand-alone and mission system. Provide artifacts for certification and accreditation packages and provide recommendations for improvements to support successful conduct of security categorization, control assessments, final risk analysis
• shall perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.

 

Requirements:

DoD Secret security clearance

current Security + certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification

6 years experience

 

normal duty hours for this position are this position are Monday through Friday (0700 – 1600). A 5-4-9 work schedule is preferred. Nine hours a day Monday – Thursday with eight hours performed every other Friday
