Position Overveiw:

The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for offering technical assistance and support to end-users, addressing and troubleshooting both hardware and software issues, and maintaining the overall IT infrastructure. Working closely with the IT Manager, the IT Support Specialist will help enhance network security, optimize system performance, and contribute to the success of company-wide technology initiatives. This role directly supports the daily operations and ensures that technology functions efficiently and securely, enabling employees to perform their tasks without disruption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly through on-site and remote assistance.
  • Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Monitor and maintain system backups, cybersecurity protocols, and software updates.
  • Support IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud-based applications.
  • Document IT support requests, resolutions, and system updates.
  • Train employees on IT best practices and security awareness.
  • Collaborate with the IT team on system upgrades and new technology implementations.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or related technical roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and enterprise software.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection best practices.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to assist employees of varying technical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
