About the Role:
The primary purpose of the IT Support Specialist is to provide assistance to the organization in areas of technology, which includes trouble-shooting issues with applications, point-of-sale registers, desktops, laptops, printers, fax/copy machines, and telephony.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- *Demonstrate Company’s Values at all times.
- *Respond to level1 help desk requests, which include but are not limited to point-of-sale registers, printers, applications, hardware replacement, phones; escalate tickets to tier II technicians as appropriate.
- *Image computers as needed; support the Active Directory environment.
- *Perform preventative maintenance to workstations, including cleaning out internal parts, performing drive scans, and installing and running anti-virus and malware tools to ensure best performance from equipment.
- *Create and maintain accurate and timely "Continuity Red Book” documentation for assigned duties and responsible areas for efficient and effective troubleshooting, knowledge base, succession planning, and disaster recovery purposes.
- Assist the IT team with hardware/software upgrades and maintenance as needed.
- Order, replace, activate, and troubleshoot cell phones as needed; maintain monthly cost center report.
- Manage printer access.
- Participate in IT on-call rotation.
- Manage VoIP user accounts.
- Other additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in information technologies or related field; or two years of equivalent work experience with a broad range of computers and applications
- Good technical knowledge of personal computers and experience with usage, installation, repair and configuration.
- Working knowledge of Outlook; basic understanding of Word and Excel.
- Voice, data, and voicemail experience.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a customer-service focus and the ability to work as a member in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to work independently, be resourceful and action-oriented.
- Must be willing and able to provide technical support to all work areas during all hours of operation. Perform on-call duties as necessary.
- Must have a valid Arizona’s driver’s license, current auto insurance, with a good driving record, and reliable vehicle.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Southern Arizona to support GISA’s technology needs.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all individuals
