Student Employee - Help Desk Technician

The Help Desk Technician will be responsible for managing the functionality of campus computers and printers, resetting student/faculty account passwords, evaluating and solving (or reassigning) account and network problems, creating work tickets for issues to be resolved by OIT staff, helping students if possible with personal laptop issues, answer phone calls/emails, and other duties as assigned. Prior experience in customer service and/or technical support. Experience fixing computers. Understanding of Windows 10. Experience using Mac OS.

Customer-oriented, friendly, able to perform all functions, ability to prioritize work, exceptional customer service, and effective communication skills in the English Language.

The Help Desk is open Monday and Friday from 7:30 am to 6:15 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:30 am to 9:15 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. Must understand that your shift could be any time during these open hours.

To be eligible for a student employee position you must be a student at Ensign College currently enrolled in at least 6 credits and in good academic standing.

  • STOOPING - Bending body downward and forward using core body muscles, spine, and extremities.

  • CROUCHING - Bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.

  • CRAWLING - Moving around on hands and knees or hands and feet.
