We are currently looking for a talented Staff Customer Support Center (CSC) Helpdesk Technician with a strong aptitude to work a broad set of customer requests including some technical issues from the customer community who are using Raytheon Solipsys deployed software.  Customers are primarily military and defense oriented and are both US domestic and international.  The position requires onsite attendance at our Fulton, MD location. The Staff CSC Helpdesk Technician serves as external face for the Raytheon Solipsys business to the customer community and acts as the advocate for all customer needs.

What You Will Do

  • Receive customer input, via both phone and email. Requests include Raytheon Solipsys software license purchase quotes and sales, technical questions about software, and access to download site for delivery of software and documentation. 
  • Provide confirmation response to customer, assess request, take action to answer request or elevate to engineering team for deeper technical response, and aggressively track requests through completion
  • Work 40 hours per week supporting 24/7 coverage in office.  Must be available to support any of 3 shifts a day and provide coverage on weekends and Holidays, as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the Technical Helpdesk or Information Technology field.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required .​
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Willingness to work 40 hours a week in 8 hour shifts across a weekly 24/7 scheduling window, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications We Prefer​

  • Experience integrating and maintaining software, computer hardware or network infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • General knowledge of C++ and Java software development.
  • Previous experience supporting Command and Control software systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 102,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
