What We’re Looking For:

If you are seeking the next step in your career with the opportunity to assist Iridium in all aspects of security, then you will be excited about our Security Analys opening. In this role, you will help ensure the safety and well-being on Iridium’s employees, contractors and vendors. You will also be responsible for the daily physical and personnel security of assigned facilities.  You will thrive in this role if you are thorough, detail-oriented, and work well independently and as part of a team.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in maintaining spaces in compliance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and ICD705 requirements
  • Process personnel security clearances and applicable reporting requirements in accordance with NISPOM, SEAD3, and government regulations
  • Coordinate required security awareness education for all personnel as applicable, including corporate security training, NISPOM-required training, and contractually required training
  • Participate in various government security reviews/assessments/audits, conduct and document government-required self-inspections/assessments, and assist with any corrective actions required
  • Utilize the Access Control System to generate badges for personnel, make changes, and pull reports as needed
  • Assist with conducting and documenting investigations into security issues or violations
  • Process new hires, transfers, and terminations by coordinating badging and training requirements
  • Assist in managing access control to applicable spaces and information to ensure compliance with relevant government requirements








Experience & Education Requirements / EEO






What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as Assistant FSO Knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), SEAD 3, Personnel Security and Adjudicative Guidelines, Director, Central Intelligence Directives (DCID), and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD)
  • Experience with Defense Information System for Security (DISS), eAPP, National Background Investigation Services (NBIS),Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT) and National Industrial Security System (NISS), Experience in managing NISOM and ICD705 spaces
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently present products, deliverables, analyses, and issues
  • Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions or come up with solutions
  • Be comfortable managing upward, including being a proactive communicator and asking for help when needed
  • Have confidence and be able to establish valuable relationships with others
  • Must be able to prioritize critical tasks and have a strong sense of ownership over your work
  • Be active in seeking out ways to improve yourself and gain new knowledge continuously

 

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

  • Knowledge of COMSEC

 

We’ll also need you to:

  • Be able to travel up 10%
  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Hold a current Top Secret/SCI Personnel Security Clearance

  

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
