RenaissanceRe’s Legal, Regulatory and Compliance team (LR&C) operates as a global function providing service, support and advice to advance our business goals and strategy. The team serves an important role in helping meet legal, reporting, regulatory and compliance obligations and managing risks across each of our operating jurisdictions. The team is considered trusted advisors to the business functions globally. LR&C is an essential enabler in preserving and enhancing our reputation for integrity.

About the Position

Reporting to the SVP, Chief Compliance Officer & Chief Counsel, the Regulatory Compliance Analyst will support LR&C function on U.S. (re)insurance regulatory filings and related research and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Assistant Compliance Managers in the preparation and timely submission of various US (re)insurance regulatory filings, including but not limited to quarterly statutory filings, licensing/authorizations, annual renewals, and data calls in relevant jurisdictions.

  • Coordinate with various internal and external parties to process payments in relation to our regulatory filings.

  • Assist in maintaining various regulatory trackers and related management systems such as Appian and Microsoft Teams Planners.

  • Assist in performing research on (re)insurance regulatory and other legal matters.

  • Assist with the filing and organization of business records.

  • Assist on special projects for the LR&C function.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Paralegal or similar professional experience of 1-3 years is advantageous.

  • Prior (re)insurance regulatory experience at (re)insurance company or law firm is advantageous but not required.

  • Must be a fast learner, with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Fully proficient in use of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc).

  • Demonstrate a willingness and aptitude for adapting, harnessing and engaging with technology-based solutions to business processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a team-oriented, collaborative business environment.

  • Demonstrated high moral character and professional integrity.

The fulltime base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 USD per year; base salary offered may vary based on job-related knowledge skills, and experience. The position is eligible for bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. This information is provided per the New York City Human Rights Law and applies to positions in New York City.
