Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing support to users during day-to-day operations in support of Green Lightβs commitment to clients, as well as aid with monitoring and problem investigation
- Work with the engineering team to provide help desk and junior system administration support.
- Shadow more senior members of the engineering team, to learn and develop engineering skills as a path towards becoming a more advanced security-focused System Administrator.
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Security+ required
- Working knowledge of Linux (distribution agnostic)
- Basic knowledge of Linux commands
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server, Active Directory
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Basic understanding of networking concepts
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability and willingness to work with the team even if it includes performing routine tasks
- Ability and willingness to learn new things to work towards becoming more advanced in your role

- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
- Ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues
- Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone or chat with a professional demeanor
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it

- Scripting using Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash or an equivalent language.
