Our client is the largest government agency in Los Angeles County, encompassing over 30 departments.

JOB SUMMARY

The IT Technical Aid supports professional IT staff by providing basic assistance and services in a centralized IT organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, tracking, documenting, and resolving IT-related issues.
  • Supporting IT professionals in systems testing and production work.
  • Assisting with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware, including PCs and printers.
  • Handling office supplies and equipment (up to 20 pounds).

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Customer Service: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Organizational Awareness: Understanding of IT processes and procedures.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 2+ years in an information systems environment, including experience with desktop software and high-speed commercial printers.

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

EDUCATION/TRAINING PREFERRED

  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent.

SKILLS PREFERRED

  • Previous experience in a technical support role.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
