Overview

At Ntrepid, we are a mission-driven provider of managed attribution technologies, specifically designed to support the national security community's operations in the most demanding online environments. We are seeking a IT Support Specialist Intern for the Business Services and Support (BSS) team for the summer of 2025. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT fundamentals and a healthy appetite for learning all the skills required to provide IT support in a small-to-medium-sized company.

Our internship will provide you with mentoring and hands-on training from senior team members and subject-matter experts. This internship is based out of our Herndon, Virginia office with a flexible hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person and remote customer support to Ntrepid employees.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on MacOS, Microsoft Windows, and mobile devices.
  • Deploy system and enterprise software with mobile device management tools.
  • Administer Office365 and Atlassian product suites.
  • Facilitate equipment repair with external vendors.
  • Assist engineers with server and network administration.
  • Manage IT assets using ITIL best practices and a CMDB.
  • Monitor ticket queues and ensure our customers receive prompt responses, escalations, and resolutions.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Pursuing (or recently completed) a degree and interest in Information Technology.
  • Capacity to learn IT skills quickly and apply them in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Remedy or ServiceNow.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to be a liaison between technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP and computer networking.
  • Experience with service desk or customer service operations.
  • Computer proficiency with Apple (Mac, iPhone, iPad), PC and/or Android devices.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work ethic to deliver on-time and above standard customer service.
