The Role:
The IT Support Specialist will drive the integration and management of Microsoft tools, enhancing productivity, collaboration, and security across the organization. This role focuses on endpoint management, regulatory compliance, and the continuous optimazation of Microsoft 365 solutions to meet organizational goals.
Position Responsibilities:
- Security and Compliance Management:
- Implement and maintain security features, including Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access Policies, and Information Protection.
- Utilize Microsoft 365 compliance tools, such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), eDiscovery, and audit logging, to meet regulatory standards like HIPAA and GDPR.
- Monitor and manage security threats using Microsoft Defender Suite.
- Collaboration and Communication Enhancement:
- Configure and deploy Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools to enhance communication and productivity across departments.
- Develop strategies to increase adoption and effective use of Microsoft 365 tools.
- Endpoint Management and Security:
- Manage device compliance and endpoint security using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot for provisioning and configuration.
- Ensure mobile and desktop devices accessing Microsoft 365 are secure and compliant.
- Governance and Documentation:
- Develop and enforce governance policies to ensure consistent and compliant Microsoft 365 usage.
- Maintain detailed documentation for architecture, configurations, and processes.
- End-User Support and Training:
- Provide tier-3 support for Microsoft 365-related issues.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance user proficiency and adoption of Microsoft 365 tools.
- Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor Microsoft 365 performance and utilization to identify areas for improvement.
- Leverage automation tools like PowerShell scripting and Power Automate to streamline workflows.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Act as a bridge between IT and business stakeholders, translating organizational needs into actionable technical solutions.
- Advise stakeholders on new Microsoft 365 features and adoption strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience managing Microsoft 365 tools and endpoint solutions.
- Expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune, Autopilot), Microsoft 365 security tools, and collaboration platforms like Teams and SharePoint.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 compliance tools and regulatory standards such as HIPAA and GDPR.
- Familiarity with automation tools, including PowerShell and Power Automate.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, are preferred.
- Experience in trouble shooting audio visual setups within a conference rooms also a plus.
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000/year; however, base pay offered will take into account a range of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package includes a range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
