Position Summary


The Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist is an experienced position that will work independently performing technical duties. This position will identify, manage, escalate, and resolve technical issues at Global Connections to Employment contract sites across the country. Responsibilities include installation and configuration of hardware (workstations, printers, scanners, etc.), software, print drivers, utilities, etc., to be utilized on workstations and computer networks; troubleshooting all information technology issues, including software, hardware, and networking (to include connectivity); and monitoring installed systems, identifying problems, and taking corrective action. 


Role Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field of study and three (3) years of IT related experience or HS Diploma/GED and seven (7) years’ IT related experience. 

  • Security + CE certification is preferred. 

  • Must have experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems, software, hardware and peripherals. 

  • Must have experience with Active Directory and Group Policies.

  • Experience with software distribution systems preferred. 

  • Experience with VoIP Networking preferred. 

  • Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 

  • Must have solid computer and clerical skills, to include advanced knowledge of computer hardware and software. 

  • Must have strong troubleshooting skills, preferably in a 24/7 environment. 

  • Must have ability to follow defined processes and procedures. • Must have ability to work independently to carry out special projects. 

  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate. 

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state they reside, have a satisfactory driving record, and be insurable under corporate policy. 

  • Travel by car, rail, and/or air will be required, domestically and potentially internationally. The percentage of time traveling will vary widely based on the circumstances
