Role Summary:


The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for managing and supporting the IT equipment needs of our organization. This role includes setting up and maintaining laptops for both Windows and Mac users, managing remote device administration, and ensuring that new employees are onboarded with the necessary equipment and technology.

Responsibilities:



  • Device Management:

    • Set up, configure, and manage Microsoft remote device management for employees' laptops.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on both Windows and Mac laptops.

    • Perform regular maintenance and updates on all company devices.



  • Procurement and Inventory Management:

    • Collaborate with Procurement team to order new equipment for employees as needed.

    • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment, ensuring timely updates, repair, and replacements.



  • Employee Onboarding:

    • Prepare and configure laptops for new hires, ensuring all necessary software and access permissions are set up prior to their start date.

    • Conduct onboarding sessions to familiarize new employees with IT policies and tools.



  • Technical Support:

    • Provide timely and effective support to employees for any IT-related inquiries or issues.

    • Assist in the development of documentation and training materials for common IT procedures.




Qualifications:



  • 1-3 years technical support experience supporting the following technologies: Windows and Mac OS operating systems, laptop hardware, mobile phone hardware and software, printers

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate

  • Administration experience with remote device management platforms like Intune and JumpCloud

  • Strong familiarity and power-user ability to use ticketing systems like ServiceNow and ZenDesk.

  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to left and carry equipment and packages up to 30 pounds
