Duties & Responsibilities
- Your primary responsibilities will be to provide technical support to their clients. Each of their Technicians are customer-facing, while concurrently working on a variety of tasks and projects. These include:
- Performing day-to-day troubleshooting and support for customers with ongoing support agreements.
- Performing implementations, upgrades and migrations to newer or different platforms.
- Providing assistance in pre-sales such as technical expertise on customer calls, project scoping / estimating and researching technologies
- Installing new PCs and laptops
- Creating and managing Active Directory accounts
- Creating and managing Office 365 accounts
- Troubleshooting end user issues of all types
- Implementing and supporting antivirus
- Supporting server domain functions like DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Installing and troubleshooting phones on a cloud based phone system (so no backend configuration needed)
- Installing wireless APs
- Setting up and supporting data storage and backups
Qualifications & Requirements
- 4 years’ technology support in a corporate environment or IT service company
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and provide end user support
- Knowledge and familiarity of the following technologies:
- Microsoft desktop and server operating systems
- Microsoft Office / Office 365
- Active Directory
- Ability to support onsite and offsite backup solutions with such software: Veeam, CommVault, Windows Server Backup, etc.
- Server virtualization with VMware
- Standard server maintenance such as performing updates / patches and checking key server metrics
- Storage devices ranging from simple hard drives to SANs
- Security solutions such as endpoint protection and content filters
- Cloud IP phone systems
- Basic networking to include switching, routing and / or wireless
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills to balance multiple projects and customers
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently on a project and as part of a team
