The IT Systems Engineer position involves hands-on, day-to-day IT operations of the enterprise cloud and on-premises infrastructure for a leading global franchising company. The candidate should be a self-starter and can work both independently and with all levels of employees. The candidate should have excellent outward behavior and attitude to interpersonal relationships, as well as an appetite for learning and a strong desire to deliver quality and timely solutions.
This is a full-time role based out of our Atlanta, Georgia office and will support operations in Lexington as well our remote offices and teleworkers.
Responsibilities
- Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure
- Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Involve in implementing and testing new security features, planning computer and network upgrades, troubleshooting, and responding to security incidents.
- Proactively ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability and security.
- Researching new attack vectors and developing threat models.
- System and infrastructure security monitoring and patching
- Infrastructure security (System, Networking, Hardware)(Cybersecurity)
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with the team to implement those fixes.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
- Configuring tools – Anti-Virus, Patching & Vulnerability management software.
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
- Work with systems, networking, and assets teams to uncover vulnerabilities.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of direct work experience in a System Administration / Infrastructure / Datacenter environment, including all aspects of process development and execution responsibility.
- Proficient in ITIL/ITSM.
- Experience in Audits and Compliance
- Experience in Cyber-Security
- Experience in System Automation
- Demonstrated experience in Systems and Network management.
- Strong experience with automation software
- Strong scripting skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft licensing and Azure cloud services.
- Strong understanding of Cyber-Security techniques and management of security-related providers.
- Strong technical knowledge of server and network infrastructure operations and maintenance.
