Britto Central Inc. is currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join their team of professionals.

Duties include:

  • With direction from the IT department, works directly with end users to receive and process requests for technical assistance.

  • Monitors and enters service requests for technical help into the trouble ticketing system.

  • With approval from IT department, provides initial troubleshooting of user technical issues with the immediate goal of problem resolution.

  • Updates Help Desk technical support documentation, therefore knowledge is shared among support team.

  • Communicates with end users after tasks are completed to ensure the service delivery results were satisfactory, efficiently delivered, and consistent with policies and procedures.

  • Protects and ensures data is kept secure and confidential.

  • Other tasks may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completed High School/GED education

  • IT related experience of at least 1 year

  • Has related experience in computer troubleshooting (Hardware, Desktop Windows, Mapping Network Shares, Accessing Printers/Devices.)

  • Has related experience in network troubleshooting (Diagnosing user connection issues)

  • General understanding of TCP/IP and LAN/WAN networking.

  • Basic Understanding of VPN and VOIP

  • Has related experience in user profile maintenance (Knowledge of configuring user access, adding roles, and reviewing GPO.)

  • Has related experience in information security (Knowledge of protecting information systems, and basic knowledge of security disciplines.)

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office package such as: email, MS Word, and MS Excel

  • Demonstrated proficiency in English grammar, with excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Very organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
