Summary
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert cybersecurity services to our clients in the industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments. You will work closely with clients across various industries, including manufacturing, energy, utilities, transportation, and others, to assess, design, and implement robust cybersecurity solutions for their critical OT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- OT Cybersecurity Assessments:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' OT systems, including ICS, SCADA systems, distributed control systems (DCS), and other industrial automation equipment.
- Identify potential vulnerabilities, risks, and security gaps within the OT environment.
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls and configurations.
- OT Cybersecurity Design and Implementation:
- Design and implement robust cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to the client's OT environment.
- Develop and deploy secure architectures, network segmentation, and access control mechanisms for OT systems.
- Configure and harden OT devices, controllers, and other components according to industry best practices and standards.
- Integrate security solutions, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security information and event management (SIEM) systems, into the OT environment.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies for OT systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and guidelines (e.g., NERC CIP, ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82).
- Develop and implement security incident response plans and procedures for OT environments.
- Knowledge Transfer and Training:
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to client personnel on OT cybersecurity best practices, tools, and techniques.
- Develop and deliver training materials, documentation, and workshops tailored to the client's specific needs.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate closely with client teams, including IT, OT personnel, and management, to understand their unique requirements and align cybersecurity strategies with business objectives.
- Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and ensure successful implementation of cybersecurity solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments.
- Certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, CISA, or other relevant OT/ICS security certifications are highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of OT protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850), systems, and architectures.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as NERC CIP, ISA/IEC 62443, and NIST SP 800-82.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to diverse audiences.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
