Help Desk Technician

As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Help Desk Technician to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Data Buoy Center (NDBC).

This position is contingent upon contract award.

• Experience working in a Help Desk environment supporting MS Windows desktops, Red Hat Linux desktops, MS Office applications, basic network troubleshooting skills.  

• Experience supporting network printing, applying software patches, and use/support of full disk encryption. 

• Experience with the use and implementation of Help Desk management tools. 

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to support 24x7x365 operations

• AA Computer Science, Information Systems and a relevant NIST Standard IT security certification (or equivalent).
