Y‑12 helps ensure a safe and effective U.S. nuclear weapons deterrent. Y‑12 has evolved to become the complex the nation looks to for support in protecting America's future, developing innovative solutions in manufacturing technologies, prototyping, safeguards and security, technical computing and environmental stewardship.

 

 

This is a full-time, permanent position follows a Hybrid working model.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Determination documentation on vendor NIST 800-171 compliance. 

  • Correspondence with vendors to correct deficiencies. 

  • Attend meetings on compliance status.


 

Basic Qualifications:



  • General understanding of cyber requirements. 

  • Ability to interpret cyber security plans for vendors to determine compliance with the NIST requirements. 

  • Ability to communicate with vendor IT and Cyber staff.

  • Working knowledge of NIST 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-53A.

  • Ability to assess and document assessment results for NIST SP 800-171 security controls.

  • Ability to aggregate risk for NIST SP 800-171 security controls into an overall risk assessment for a non-federal information system processing CUI data.

  • Knowledge of cyber controls.

  • Familiarity with DFARS requirements for processing CUI data on non-federal information systems.

  • This position requires and an active Department of Energy "Q" or “L” clearance.  A “Top Secret (TS)” or “Secret” Department of Defense clearance will also suffice.  This requires US Citizenship.
