Hammond Lumber Company, voted 2024's Best Places to Work in Maine, is seeking a Full-Time Senior IT Support Specialist for our Belgrade, Maine location.


  • Provide second level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, either remotely or on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Assist in setting up and configuring workstations, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals for employees.
  • Assists management in identifying opportunities for process improvement within the department.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all levels of employees including customers, peers, and leadership.
  • Creates, follows, maintains and updates as necessary documentation and checklists to ensure efficiency and consistency.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (or higher)
  • 4+ years of technical support experience
  • Ability to travel to other sites and work after hours when needed.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to solve business problems.
  • Experience with M365, Windows Server and Desktop OS’s, VMWare ESX, Horizon View, HyperV, Azure, InTune, and SQL Server.
  • Experience managing and supporting enterprise technology solutions. 
  • Strong understanding of WAN, LAN, and WLAN technologies.
  • Asset management, deploying, implementing, and managing 3rd party antivirus/anti-malware software.
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity and PCI Compliance preferred.
