Daubert Chemical Company is a profitable, family-owned specialty chemical manufacturer located near Midway airport and a market leader in the products we sell to our end users and distributors. We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Analyst who ensures raw material and product compliance rules and regulations globally are being followed, such as verifying compliance, researching, identifying potential compliance issues, and collecting and analyzing relevant information. Coordinates with external regulatory consultants on inventory compliance activities such as TSCA, NSF and REACH. Performs regulatory compliance audits (internal), reviews current practices, creates and enforces compliance plans and regulatory risk management functions. his role reports to the VP of Technology and is located onsite at our specialty chemical production plant office at 4700 S. Central in Forest View, IL.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to:
- Assist with maintaining the data entry into SDS authoring software for raw materials.

Support the Technology team in reviewing and approving new and revised Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for products and raw materials. Safety Data Sheets are required for US, Canada, EU, Mexico, and South America. This requires management and electronic filing of Safety Data Sheets for finished products (in various languages and formats) and raw materials along with distributing to internal and external customers.
- Fulfills customer requests for and organize database of product certifications [EDS’s, REACH, SVHC, Black List, Red List, SIN List, EcoVadis reporting (every 3-years), HPV (every 4-years), Proposition 65, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, VOC’s, LEEDS, GADSL, NAFTA, HAPS, GMO, Kosher & Halal status, HPD, MIR values, ODC’s, POP’s, PBT’s, PFOA’s, PCB’s, TSE & BSE, Conflict Minerals Compliance, Heavy Metals, etc.].
- Assists with customer requests for confidential product composition disclosure after consultation and approval by company executives. This includes IMDS, Toyota EDS’s (E-star), EPA-CDX, eSupplier Connect, Covisint, Ford iPoint, Honda Web, Magna eRFX, Nissan Supplier Portal, etc.

Performs global chemical inventory compliance activities (EPA TSCA, Canada DSL, Mexico, South America, Australia and New Zealand, EU & UK REACH, Korea REACH, Turkey, China, Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, etc.). Ensures that products produced, and raw materials used meet all state, local, federal, international, and industrial chemical inventory compliance regulations that apply to the materials used and produced at the site. Includes annual reporting (REACH), providing REACH certification and auditing (EPA TSCA). Assists in obtaining and maintaining government approval for chemical components found in products and raw materials.
- Assists in performing annual EPA TSCA internal audit for the company to inform management of compliance status and possible issues with raw materials from suppliers and products produced by the company. Includes identifying, investigating, and reporting compliance issues, irregularities, and violations as well as providing management with an action plan to gain compliance.
- Performs NSF duties (initial submissions, formula revisions, raw material alternatives, etc.) pertaining to food grade lubricant compliance.
- Coordinates employee training on compliance policies, practices, and reporting systems.
- Ensures the proper written procedures for performing these tasks are written, accurate, updated, and available.
- Tracks new and upcoming regulatory requirements from governing agencies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
A minimum of associate's or relevant college coursework in the following core tracks: Regulatory, Science, environmental Science, biological sciences, chemistry, or engineering. Coursework in law, marketing, business, and statistics is also useful. Bachelor of Science is preferred. SDS experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to ensure that all chemicals used by the company adhere to various global policies and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office365, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; SharePoint and Teams. Writing business emails, intermediate excel with VLOOKUP and creating PowerPoint presentations is required. Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in English; excellent oral and written communication skills working with all levels of the organization and our customers
