We are seeking a Level 1 IT Support Technician to join our team in Torrington, CT. The successful candidate will be responsible for basic technical support, assigning and scheduling level 2/3 support for client tickets, and overseeing the hardware fulfillment process. This position offers an opportunity to develop foundational skills in IT support and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve basic desktop and printer issues.
- Perform basic maintenance, setup, and configuration of hardware.
- Provide basic support for software installations and updates.
- The ability to install basic network equipment (routers/switches) at client sites.
- Receive client calls, assign and schedule Level 2/3 engineers for client tickets.
- Ensure tickets are completed in a timely manner and with clear documentation on work performed.
- Perform necessary tasks related to hardware fulfillment including:
- Picking inventory from stock.
- Image load/build.
- Asset tagging.
- Coordinating shipment carrier pickup.
- Updating asset tracking information within the asset management system.
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate data within various IT systems.
- Provide reporting for team performance metrics.Β
- Analyze data and provide insights to improve IT processes.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma. Associateβs degree preferred.
- High proficiency using Microsoft Office.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous working experience in Desktop Support is desired, however, training will be provided for an entry-level new hire.
- Detail oriented β excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
- Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving - capable of complex reasoning analysis.
