JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Libraries Strategic Technologies Department is seeking several part-time openings for students to assist us with End-User Information Technology support. Successful applicants require no experience as training for all duties will be provided. Students in all majors are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Starting pay begins at $12.50 per hour, the hours of duty vary, and applicants must be willing to work 10-15 hours per week, scheduled between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm. Job Duties: 


•    Troubleshooting Windows, Mac and printer issues. 
•    Assigning tickets in our helpdesk. 
•    Preparing and updating devices for deployment. 
•    Assisting patrons with our Virtual Reality and One Button Studio services. 

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Possess excellent customer service skills.

  • Be reliable.

  • Flexible in regards to scheduling.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
