Job Description

Mission Technologies, a division of HII is seeking a motivated individual for an IT Support role. This position will be supporting the Cyber Security division within AFRL/IZ (IZC). The major focus will be to support the development of a continuous monitoring effort in support of AFRL deployed systems. The candidate will need to have experience with AFRL network environments, security policies, processes, and requirements gathering and documentation. Continuous monitoring provides organizations with the information needed to support risk response decisions and assess the effectiveness of their security controls. This can ultimately help organizations move from compliance-driven risk management to data-driven risk management.


Essential Job Responsibilities

This position will analyze and define Information Assurance security requirements for Multiple Security Levels (MSL) systems and non-MLS systems. Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions to MLS and non-MLS requirements. Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization's missions, goals, and requirements, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the Information Assurance arena.

•    Support the development of a Continuous Monitoring as a Service effort.

•    Support additional tasking as needed in the IZC division.

•    Integrating new capabilities and tools into operation center processes.

•    Requirements collection.

•    Contributing to the development of cyberspace situational awareness products and cyberspace analysis duties with minimal guidance. 

•    Contributing to the development of analytic approaches and recommendations to problems and situations for which data are incomplete, controversial, or which no precedence exists

•    Coordination and support on cyber-related incidents and issues to include Malware Analysis Reports, Alerts regarding potential malicious activity, and Suspicious Contact Reports.

•    Cloud experience preferred.


Minimum Qualifications

0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.


 


Clearance: Secret or ability to obtain a secret clearance

CompTIA Security + with CE

Network Engineering Entry Level Certification
