Lockheed Martin’s SOF GLSS Team, the leading provider of a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance and sustainment services is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to join the SOF GLSS team in Lexington, KY. The candidate will perform classified IT Help Desk Technician duties supporting multiple Special Operations groups and will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.



What You Will Be Doing

As the IT Help Desk Technician your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Position: Personal Computer Support Technician
• Supports Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Information Technology (MFC IT)
• Work location: Lexington, Kentucky
• Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support including:
• Installation, testing, repair, and troubleshooting for Windows PCs, networks, printers, and other computer peripherals
• Answering telephone calls from end users
• Creating, assigning, and resolving incident tickets
• Providing remote user assistance
• Installing and removing software
• Visiting end-user work areas to deliver, install, fix, and remove hardware
• Account creation and maintenance
• Monitoring systems for outage alerts
• Coordinating incident resolution with end-users and other IT groups
• Other duties as assigned for IT Help Desk operations
• Requires certifications within 6 months of hire date:
• DoD 8570 baseline IAT Level II certification (such as CompTIA Security+ CE)

Basic Qualifications
- Experience supporting Windows operating
systems and desktop applications, such as
Microsoft Office.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware,
networking, Windows Active Directory,
printers, and computer peripherals.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain position
certifications.
- Ability to adjust daily schedule with other
team
members to ensure IT Help Desk staffing
between
6:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Desired skills
- Current DoD 8570 baseline IAT Level II
certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE.
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
certification with Windows 10 exam
completion.
- ITIL certification or related experience.
- Experience with ITSM tools, such as
ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Experience creating and modifying Active
Directory user and computer objects.
- Experience with Dameware remote desktop.
- Basic understanding of virtualization
technology.

Ability to work remotely
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
