Posting Summary:
Mission Multiplier is looking for a Help Desk Technician II to support our air force contract in Travis AFB, California. The Help Desk Technician II will provide technical support to users for computer-related technical problems on assigned account(s), provides back-up assistance on other accounts as needed, responds to and diagnoses problems through discussion with users, provides support to end users on a variety of issues, identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems and provides second-tier support to end users for either PC, server, or mainframe applications or hardware.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinates configuration / installation and general troubleshooting of PC / server hardware and software.
- Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.
- Provides front-line help desk and desktop support to business personnel for internet, LAN and PC-based business software applications and hardware set-ups.
- Perform/maintain semi-annual and annual inventory of LAN hardware and software.
- Provide technical support to internal customers with a high degree of customer service, quality for all hardware and software issues.
- Provide installation level technical administration and operational monitoring of eTools and servers.
- Troubleshooting and resolving hardware failures or problems.
- Provide installation level managerial guidance supporting the Logistics Information System in sortie generation and integrate with Maintenance Information Systems operations.
- Provide installation level end user support and guidance of the eTools (mobile devices, handheld devices, laptops, and computers) and Logistics Information System server environment within the Logistics community.
- Provide technical administration and operational monitoring of eTools and Logistics Information System servers as follows:
- Manage government approved mobile devices, laptops, and computers (wired, or wireless) for Logistics functions. Perform equipment installations, peripheral connections, installation, and deletion of software consistent with standard configurations and/or established policies.
- Detects system, network, and application anomalies; resolves and/or escalates matters of significance to reduce the impact to global customers and maximize system availability.
Required Qualifications:

High School diploma AND 3-5 years of specialized experience.

Specialized experience from the areas identified below:
- Computing Environment and Operating System for desktop software management.
- Knowledge and experience with standard Information Assurance concepts, practices, and procedures within the Network Environment.
- Must possess a U.S. Secret Clearance.
- Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification (CompTIA Security + CE) or equivalent IAW DoD 8570 requirements.
- Operating Systems (OS) Certification (Windows 11 OS, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- A.A. or A.S. in a related field.

- Some travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15-25 pounds at a time.
