Ensure Companys adherence to U.S. and international export laws and regulations as it relates to the importation/exportation of Tennant goods and technology. Responsible for the management of daily North American free trade agreement operations (US, Australia, Korea, Canada & Mexico). Resolution of any issues impacting the movement of Tennant goods across international borders.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor daily operations of Mexican importations with designated customs brokers and resolve border issues
Monitor daily operations of Canadian importations (non-resident importer of record program)
Create US free trade agreement certificates of origin for international customers.
Process qualifications on Tennant manufactured machines and component products for US free trade agreements
Manage 3rd party supplier solicitation and free trade agreement software
Lead annual duty savings project related to US free trade agreements
Maintain master data (tariff classifications & country of origin) in free trade agreement management software
Act as a resource for International Customer Service on compliance issues.
Maintain written policies and procedures related to free trade agreement management procedures and work instructions
Export / import documentation preparation
Provide support with customs compliance projects as needed
Provide support to Global Strategic Supply initiatives related to supplier management (25% = 10 hours per week)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in business, logistics, transportation operations preferred
One to Two years’ experience with international import/export operations
Ability to interact with various functional groups within Tennant
Strong analytical, organization and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Knowledge of MS Word & Excel
Preferred:
Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements
Knowledge of international transportation
Knowledge of SAP ERP system a plus
