Position Responsibilities:
- On-site maintenance and repair of IT, Fueling, Cash Safe, and POS systems.
- Independently travel to reach store locations, including drives of 4 hours or more per day.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation which could include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Support Yesway retail systems infrastructure including point of sale, back office, credit, fuel network.
- Resolve basic to complex retail site systems issues spanning multiple hardware and software environments in an expedient manner.
- Lead in projects related to hardware and software releases and rollouts, including store migrations.
- Test fixes to ensure the problem has been adequately resolved.
- Perform work in a manner to minimize impact on stores and users resulting from maintenance or project-related activities.
- Maintains fuel dispensers by changing nozzles, filters, hoses, or any other hanging hardware and/or other mechanical devices
- Diagnose and make repairs to the overall circuitry of fuel dispenser such as circuit boards, card readers, and keypads.
- Basic knowledge of various Tank Gauges would be a plus.
- Be able to maintain good working relationships with store personnel and vendors and be a team player.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma plus three-to-five years of related experience.
- POS certification, VASC, Wayne, Passport, Gilbarco, Tidel.
- Experience pulling low volt cabling, terminating CAT3, CAT5, Coax, CCTV and alarm cabling, mounting faceplates, Punch-downs, labeling, closet or rack builds, patch panels and handling other equipment as needed is required.
- Experience using multi-meters and toners to test low volt cabling continuity, connectivity, voltage presences and voltage at the outlet.
- Ability to read network documents and diagrams, user manuals, and attention to detail of the assigned scope of work.
- Proven knowledge of Windows operating systems, PCs, printers, networking hardware and protocols, and other hardware, such as hard drives, video cards, cabling, routers, and hubs.
- Experience using productivity software (MS Office and remote support tools).
- Proven ability to lead and train 3rd-party contractors.
- High level of personal accountability with the proven ability to manage time workload effectively and work well in a team environment.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- General electrical knowledge preferred.
- Ability to lift and transport objects weighing less than fifty pounds, such as computers and peripherals.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard or mouse, and to handle other computer components; the position requires the use of hand tools and power tools such as a drill.
- Valid, current driver license and the ability to meet driver approval standards for being an insured driver.
- Prior experience with Passport and Commander POS, credit processing, and other convenience store tech experience preferred.
- Experience with POS diagnostics and repair which includes loading/reloading various software versions.
- Experience with Wayne/Gilbarco Dispensers and related Equipment.
- Wayne/Gilbarco and/or Verifone Certifications a plus but willing to help attain for the right individual.
