Job Duties & Responsibilities


Schedule site visits and task assignments oversee completion and quality of work review required site visit and walkthru reports train contractors on companyspecific IT policies and procedures write procedural and troubleshooting documentation organize all related records and provide reporting to IT management.



  • Provide IT user support for undocumented problems unresolvable by company helpdesk.

  • Manage plantlocal and company projects and participate on corporate project teams.

  • Administrative IT functions including managing plant IT inventory research solutions and parts order hardware and software arranging warranty service and repairs.

  • Provide oversight maintenance and support of IT user systems and IT infrastructure in plants and sales facilities.

  • Communicate plant IT metrics to plant finance and operations managers.

  • Prioritize IT support incidents according to business needs and triage for direct action.

  • Perform software hardware and network diagnosis for individual PCs servers and complex interconnected systems.

  • Facilitate integration design and implementation of plant ITrelated systems.

  • Typical challenges include identifying networksystem failures and troubleshooting PC problems.

  • Complex challenges include planning and integrating new networked plant systems in cooperation with plant or corporate engineering departments and central IT.


 


Qualifications



  • Associate s degree and 10 years of IT support andor IT infrastructure experience or bachelor s degree and 5 of years IT support andor IT infrastructure experience.

  • Must have excellent IT diagnostic and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to work and make critical decisions limited daily supervision.

  • Must have strong writing and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with employees in all departments at all levels.

  • Desktop and laptop PC hardware troubleshooting and repair.

  • Server hardware installation maintenance and troubleshooting experience (RAID VMware file recovery)

  • Networking experience (LAN WAN TCPIP VLAN WiFi DHCP DNS Ethernet fiber optics)

  • Microsoft operating systems and applications Active Directory SCCM Office SharePoint SQL Server. PBX phone system experience Avaya Site Administration MoveAddChanges voicemail wiring is a plus. Linux experience is a plus.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

  • Working outside normal business hours periodically required.
