SSE is adding a key Cybersecurity Sales Professional to represent SSE and sell our Cybersecurity Compliance services to Department of Defense (DoD) contractors and subcontractors nationwide.  Our desired candidate is a business development professional with experience selling to DoD contractors and subcontractors.  The candidate should have familiarity with DoD cybersecurity regulations, as well as demonstrated lead generation and closing skills; capable of finding new leads, managing a pipeline, and securing new business.  This sales professional will help grow the trusted SSE reputation, and will be expected to manage a sales campaign from start to finish, focused on the executive level decision maker. 



We are seeking a detail-orientated and strong communicator, someone who is diligent in their approach and follow-up with prospective clients in order to discover, define and deliver solutions to meet their business needs.  A team player who can collaborate internally with technical resources to help define solutions and align them with our prospective clients’ needs and strategic objectives.



This position is part of our corporate sales and marketing team, and will be located at our St. Louis headquarters, reporting directly to the Vice President of Network and Cybersecurity Services.



Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in DoD contracting and/or Cybersecurity and services

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance and regulatory frameworks; CMMC, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, etc.

  • Established professional and partnership network

  • Some cold calling into targeted companies and prospective clients

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with current and prospective clients

  • Strong understanding of business operations, decision making, and the ability to effectively communicate at the executive level

  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and desire to meet long and short term goals

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Managing sales activity and pipeline in CRM database; Salesforce experience a plus

  • Development of creative materials such as scripts, emails, sell sheets, and presentations

  • Attending sales calls remotely and on-site with prospective clients

  • Proficiency with MS Windows, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
