Cybersecurity Program Senior Director, Engineering & Vulnerability Management


The Cybersecurity Director is a senior-level role, responsible for overseeing an organization’s overall cybersecurity. The role supervises aspects of IT security including design, development, implementation, incident response, budgets, and adherence to various regulations. The Cybersecurity Director contributes to the overall cybersecurity strategy by identifying growth opportunities based on the latest threats, as well as managing (direct/indirect) personnel and reporting on the company’s cybersecurity posture.


Job Responsibilities

•    Working with cyber leadership and CISO, collaborate on developing the next iteration of our cybersecurity program, including vulnerability management, technical programs, and current toolset enhancements 

•    Own the vulnerability management strategies, including scanning, prioritization, and remediation 

•    Enhance our technical controls by leveraging our current toolset and educating technology teams on technical controls development and deployment  

•    Establish and maintain a configuration management program, including configuration baselines, change management, and compliance monitoring. 

•    Develop and implement cloud security strategies, including cloud service provider security controls, secure cloud architecture, and cloud security monitoring. 

•    Develop and maintain metrics to monitor the effectiveness of the cybersecurity program and report progress to executive leadership. 

•    Stay up-to-date on the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies, and provide guidance to technology teams and business partners. 


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred 

•    10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, with a focus on vulnerability management, configuration management, and cloud security. 

•    Strong technical background in vulnerability management, configuration management, and cloud security. 

•    Experience with cloud service provider security controls, secure cloud architecture, and cloud security monitoring. 

•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with technology teams, business partners, and vendors. 

•    Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team. 

•    Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSK, preferred.
