Cybersecurity Data Warehouse Lead Developer

TIAA has an opportunity for a Cybersecurity Data Warehouse Lead Developer to join their Security Applications Development team. This role will design, develop, and maintain data warehouses and data lakes in our enterprise cloud environment. This includes but is not limited to the development of dashboards, interactive analytical reports, extracts, and other data visualization tools. In addition, will design, schedule, and maintain ETL jobs to support the enterprise reporting and metrics.

This role will have responsibility for leading projects, monitoring and troubleshooting data lake performance and maintenance of cybersecurity reporting tools. This is a team lead role which will have responsibility for oversight and mentoring of a team.


Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for cybersecurity on data warehouse and metrics.
  • Designs, creates, deploys, and updates programs for a specific device, the web, or an operating system.
  • Collaborate with cyber security teams to understand needs and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Translates client requirements into application features and ensures the timely delivery of fully functional software applications.
  • Creates metrics and dashboards.
  • Perform code reviews.
  • Develop and deploy ETL jobs.
  • Understand client needs, designing prototypes, writing code, performing testing, and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Write high-quality code to program complete applications on schedule.
  • Drive progress on various database development activities.
  • Mentor and train junior members of the development team.
  • Coordinate with Business Analysts on metrics and dashboard requirements.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5 years’ experience writing SQL queries and creating procedures.
  • 5 years’ experience developing with AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and EC2.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with SQL Server data warehouse development.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working on a database development team.
  • At least 3 years’ experience developing metrics and reporting.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a cybersecurity environment.
  • 2 years’ experience leading a team.

Preferred:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools.
  • Experience performing analyses and problem-solving.
  • Attention to details and time-management skills.
  • 2+ years of experience with project management.
  • Experience managing contractors working on the team.
  • Experience with Snowflake or Redshift databases.

Anticipated Posting End Date:

Base Pay Range: $104,900/yr. - $169,800/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
