The Analyst, Information Technology (Cybersecurity Specialist) protects company hardware, software, networks, and digital assets from cybercriminals. The primary role is to understand Oriental’s IT infrastructure in detail, monitor it, and evaluate contain threats that could potentially breach the network. Continuously looks for ways to enhance company cybersecurity and protect its sensitive information and other IT assets. This position will be working hybrid and is based in San Juan, PR.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute security measures to shield Oriental’s computer systems and networks from infiltration and cyberattacks.
  • Develop and promotes best practices for information security.
  • Analyze, detect, and cyber hunting of security threats.
  • Development of techniques and tactics for threat's identification/prevention.
  • Ensure the unusual activity is detected, analyzed, and addressed.
  • Respond immediately to security incidents and provide post-incident analysis.
  • Perform risk assessments, audit, and tests to ensure proper functioning of data processing activities and security measures.
  • Maintain security documentation and assist with internal and external audits relating to information security.
  • Produce or compile ongoing safety reports, document security issues and measure taken actions to resolve them.
  • Manage cybersecurity actions with service providers.
  • Research upcoming trends in information technology and security, stay updated on potential threats, and develop preventive strategies.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field required.
  • Three (3) years of experience in Cybersecurity required. Banking experience preferred.
  • Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Azure, Office 365 environments required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other business applications required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish & English required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, multitasking, teamwork, and ability to work effectively with vendors is required.

  • Legally authorized to work in the US is required. This position is of indefinite duration and requires candidates to have permanent or ongoing work authorization.
